How Much Is Too Much to Pay a Teacher?
That may seem like a trick question . . . but actually, there is no such thing as an overpaid teacher — at least, not in Chicagoland, home of Obama/Emanuel/Axelrod, etc.
Teachers in Chicago went on strike this week because, you know, at an average salary of $76,000 per year (plus benefits) they are only the highest-paid public-school teachers in the nation.
Are they upset because their long summer vacations are over and they actually have to go back to work now? These people resist any form of accountability and gulp tax money with abandon.
