UNC Rethinking Its Big Plans?

In today’s Pope Center piece, Jay Schalin writes about the rethinking of the University of North Carolina’s ambitious plans, which were set forth in one of those typically visionary documents five years ago. Although it seems that the UNC leadership understands that it can’t do as much to lift up the state and improve the world as the document called for, it still has an inflated idea of its importance and proper role.
