Messing with Texas

On occasion I have seen bumper stickers that read “Don’t Mess with Texas.” That might often be good advice, but the people at the Texas Public Policy Foundation are quite eager to mess with the state’s higher-education system. Recently TPPF published a paper with recommendations for making public higher ed in Texas less costly and at the same time more effective. In today’s Pope Center piece, Jay Schalin writes about the paper’s recommendations, offering some criticism but mostly praise.
