In George Leef’s new Pope Center article, he writes about a TED talk given by Indian inventor Sugata Mitra. Mitra discusses how learning is often improved by letting it happen spontaneously rather than by trying to make it happen.

Of course, both methods are better than what many students seem to do, which is to actively avoid or even fight learning anything of value.
