Spending More on Higher Ed Isn’t the Key to the Future

I wish I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard someone in politics or the higher-ed establishment claim that we are undermining our future by reducing government spending on higher education.

Last month, two university presidents (Robert Gates of William & Mary and David Boren of Oklahoma) made that argument in a Wall Street Journal article. I argue against them in a piece I have just posted on Forbes.
