Professors Don’t Indoctrinate and Besides, Students are Too Smart for It
The Left has recently been crowing about the supposed proof that complaints about professors who try to use their classrooms for political preaching are wildly overblown if not completely imaginary. Writing at Pajamas Media, Mary Grabar has a good response.
As I see it, there is a fairly pervasive anti-Western, anti-capitalist mindset throughout most of our higher-ed system. The professors have overwhelmingly grown up with it and never doubt for a second that it’s true — that capitalism means exploiting workers and leads to periodic depressions. They don’t have to try to indoctrinate; just keeping students immersed in the warm bath of “social justice” thinking does it. And few students are acute enough to know what’s going on.
