College Lobbyists Try to Get Snouts in Public Stimulus Trough

This Chronicle of Higher Education piece tells the unsurprising story that colleges and universities are pleading for some of the “economic stimulus” money from those generous, kind-hearted pols in Washington.

Why not just stimulate everyone and everything? The feds could print up vast numbers of $100 bills and scatter them from helicopters. Just imagine the stimulus as everyone goes on a buying spree.

What’s that you say? Inflation? Oh, stop worrying. That only happens in banana republics, right?
