The Right take on higher education.

Re: Crayons to Condoms

Candace:  Great line about how the social engineers don’t care about educational fundamentals.

The Left always whines about the education gap and the wealth gap, but can’t see how their pet notions contribute to them. Children who spend their early years in classrooms dominated by “progressive” educational claptrap (including “social justice” teaching) are going to be at a great disadvantage compared to children who attend schools (largely private or in the home) where their time is devoted to real learning. Naturally, they will have an advantage (no doubt an “unfair” one) in the labor market once they have finished their formal education.

Will that lead to demands that all students be put through the approved leftist curriculum? Would that be a “compelling state interest” justifying universal attendance in public schools?
