Obama’s Joyce Foundation and Academia

Text

In a piece yesterday, David T. Hardy says that while serving as a director of the Joyce Foundation, Barack Obama approved a grant to the Chicago-Kent Law Review that was designed to produce a profusion of articles contesting the idea that the Second Amendment is meant to protect the right of individuals to own firearms. Articles arguing the other side weren’t considered.

To me, this suggests that the senator would be be receptive to federal legislation whittling away at the recent Heller decision. It also suggests that he is not big on intellectual integrity. Of course, there is abundant evidence elsewhere for his “we must win no matter what” approach.
