More on Phony Racial Harassment Charge at IUPUI

Text

The employee at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis who filed the charge against Keith Sampson for reading an anti-Klan book, and later changed her tale to accuse him of other racial harassment, had a big grudge against Sampson. Nasty threats and familial revenge figure in the story, told by Chuck Norton, a former chief justice of student government at Indiana University South Bend, who tells me he “takes his role in protecting students from abuse by faculty and administration pretty seriously.” We need more students like Norton willing to speak up. He seems to have his facts straight and is thus right in suggesting that the IUPUI administration should have handled this affair more straightforwardly and expeditiously.
