Changing (That Is, Lowering) UC Admissions Standards


The University of California’s board of regents has been asked to revise its eligibility standards, an item that will probably be on its agenda when it meets next month, I’m told. A key item is ending the requirement that students take the SAT II — a bad idea, as Linda Chavez discusses here.
