Change We Can Be Fooled By

The Democratic Leadership Council has sent an email with its holiday reading and viewing recommendations to those who will be making our decisions of governance next year, including the following nicely juxtaposing “Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth CD package has no rival for combining information and accessibility on climate change” and the complementary “Persuasion when eloquence, logic, and appeals to conscience and interest fall short: How to Lie with Statistics (1954) by Darrell Huff.”

Allow me to make this a pairing menu. In order, the Dems might want to accompany each selection with the Dimmock opinion (substantive discussion of AIT beginning at the bottom of p. 10, at bullet point 24) and Red Hot Lies: How Global Warming Alarmists Use Threats, Fraud and Deception to Keep You Misinformed, complete with holiday-red cover.
