I’ll Skip The Obvious Sopranos Jokes

As a proud product of New Jersey, I’ve learned to live with constant embarrassment while remaining quite statriotic.

I’ve previously posted on the proposed legislation in NJ to mandate reductions in greenhouse gas emissions as being both dumb and unworkable. Well, the legislature has just passed the bill. I guess the only good thing about it is that no matter who signs this piece of paper, the law will almost certainly never really be implemented.

My favorite piece of propaganda is from one of the sponsors of the bill: “This legislation would save New Jersey families and businesses billions of dollars by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and increasing investment in strategies and businesses that develop cleaner energy.”

Yes, we always need to pass laws to force businesses to make decisions that are more profitable.
