Cost advantage of nuclear is even more pronounced when one looks at the cost of removing CO2, something that most cost studies don't do:

Nuclear- $40-70 per ton of CO2 removed
Wind - $300-450 per ton
Solar- $700+

It's interesting that solar proponents say that a 5kW home solar PV system saves the same CO2 as planting one acre of trees--- just about the same amount of trees I'd have to cut to install a solar system ....and this would greatly increase my air conditioning load for a net increase in CO2. You'd do more for the environment by planting trees than installing solar.
