The Blamer-in-Chief — the slow economy, says Obama, has been caused by the Japanese tsunami, Greece, tornadoes, the dog who ate my homework, etc. — might want to add this one to his repertoire: Taxpayer-financed, luxury electric-car maker Fisker gave another black eye to Obama’s green portfolio this month, when its $107,000 Karma sports car froze just 180 miles into a Consumer Reports test.
But Fisker CEO Tom Lasorda said that the car performed as designed. (We’re not making this up.)
“The shutdown showed the vehicle performed as intended in an electrical glitch,” he told Automotive News. “The onboard diagnostic detected a fault and entered a protection mode that shut the car down to protect other components..”
Just like Solyndra performed as intended when Chapter 11 shut the company down to protect its creditors. Try it, Mr. President.
