William Rusher On Persuasion

by Peter Spiliakos

William Rusher was the longtime publisher of National Review and conservative activist.  This biography of Rusher by David Frisk is very much worth reading.  Rusher had some good but tough ideas about how the process of persuasion works.  Rusher’s insights might help conservatives recruit new constituencies to a limited government politics that maximizes the space for civil society. And yes, this is also shameless self-promotion for my First Things column for this week.
