Sarah Palin’s bus tour is off and running. Yesterday, she launched the tour by joining the Rolling Thunder motorcycle ride in Arlington, Va. The ride, held annually, aims to increase awareness of missing veterans and prisoners of war.
Palin, joined by husband Todd and daughters Bristol and Piper, rode on the back of a motorcycle.

Last night, the Palins toured some of the monuments on the National Mall, including the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials. “The Lincoln Memorial reminds us that ours is to be a government ‘of the people, by the people and for the people’ and it’s with gratefulness for past generations that we can commit ourselves to living out the promises and values etched on those memorial walls,” Palin wrote on her site.

This morning, the Palins visited the National Archives and viewed the Constitution and then headed to Mount Vernon.
Asked at the National Archives if she could beat Obama, Palin responded that “any Republican candidate is very, very electable.”
She said she was “still kind of contemplating” whether to run in 2012 or not.

While it’s anticipated that the bus tour will also include stops in Gettysburg, Philadelphia, and New Hampshire, the Palin camp has not released any itinerary.
I wish all NRO writers would please stop paying attention to Palin. She is to politics what Madonna is to entertainment-all self-promotion, no substance.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseMany of us belittled Obama's lack of experience in 2008, so the notion that this Palin, who chose not to complete even a single term as Governor of Alaska, is fit to be president, is ludicrous.
And I wish that all NRO readers would please stop paying attention to people like H.Felton. Your lame and unsubstantiated claims attacking Mrs. Palin are what is ludicrous.
And quite frankly, I have had enough of it.
Apparently you have a comprehension problem. I have no problem understanding her stances on any number of issues - even when I disagree with her. And apparently you have been away when she has given speeches on policy. They're there if you look for them. It's one thing to comprehend and disagree, but quite another to blather on about something that is demonstrably false.
I will support for president whomever I choose for whatever reason I choose - and I don't give a good ___-damned what people like you think of me or Mrs. Palin.
That woman has more character in her little finger and more steel in her spine that I could possibly muster. I say good on her for what she has accomplished and endured thus far and if she decides that running for president is in the cards for her then I will wholeheartedly support her.
Lead, follow or get out of the way - and in your case Felton, preferably get out of the way.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseFelton, tell the candidates that Palin helped win last November that she is the Madonna of politics--I'm sure they would get a good laugh out of it.
And what is it about this experience nonsense so many people spew? NO ONE has the right experience to step into the presidency--it's a job like any other in the world. The reason Obama is a failure is not because of inexperience, but because of his steadfast, radical Statist/Socialist ideology.
Also, if experience in such a big deal, then why is this country in one heck of a mess considering all the politicians in DC that do have experience?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseGreat photos of the next President.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseMarco, what about the losers Palin backed in states where we might well have picked up seats with less eccentric candidates, like in Nevada, Delaware and Colorado for starters.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseAfter the 1972 Dem Convention chose McGovern,a chagrined union leader George Meany, (the good old days when national union leaders were to the right of the Dems) said sometimes parties choose to commit suicide. He was right about 1972, and we may do it this year with one of a number of unqualified candidates like Palin.
Sorry, but Palin did not endorse Buck or Angle. She did not endorse in either the Colorado or Nevada Senate Primaries. You do not seem very knowledgeable when you blame her for actions she did not take.
Perhaps you like to re-write that: "Marco, what about the losers Palin DID NOT backed in states where we might well have picked up seats with less eccentric candidates, like in Nevada, Delaware and Colorado for starters.
Did you expected her to back the democrat in the general election?
Moreover let see how did O'Donnell stack-up as compared to Ehrlich and Whitman, and Carnahan and Huffman. She stacked-up pretty well all were in the low 40's. Was O'Donnell the lowest of the night? No not by a longshot. Angle did better then the 5 I mentioned.
Would other candidates have faired better than Angle and O'Donnell? Who knows, the Democrats did well in retaining most all of their blue state seats in Senate and Governors races whether they faced conservative or moderate Republicans.

What is that? "Folksy intellectualism"?
