The Elway Era

With the No. 45 pick they secured from San Fran by trading out of No. 36 (along with fourth and fifth rounders, which Denver previously lacked), the Broncos draft defense again, with UCLA safety Rahim Moore. The Hall-of-Fame QB goes defense, defense. Smart.

And with their own second rounder at No. 46, they draft versatile offensive lineman Orlando Franklin from Miami.

I still don’t think Kyle Orton or Tim Tebow is the answer at QB for Denver. And I don’t think Elway does, either. I think maybe he’s willing to wait a year for Andrew Luck (with apologies to Niner fan Cindy Chin).
