Marlins Catch of the Day: Albert Pujols?

by Jason Epstein

The Florida Miami Marlins’ frugal days are behind them, at least for a little while. As early as tomorrow the front office will sit down with one or more of Albert Pujols’ representatives to discuss a possible contract offer for the free agent mega-star, according to’s Matthew Leach.

Meanwhile, Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post senses that Hanley Ramirez is less than enthused about ceding the shortstop position to another top free agent, Jose Reyes.

Most important of all, Craig Davis of the Sun-Sentinel has details on tonight’s coming-out party of the new team uniforms, which will feature “performances” by new manager Ozzie Guillen and rapper Pitbull. (Only in Miami, kids. Only in Miami.)
