Yankees and Pirates Finally Agree: A. J. Burnett Is Heading to Pittsburgh

Assuming that he passes a weekend physical, A. J. Burnett will call PNC Park home this season, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. After a reasonably successful 2009 season, Burnett — not to mention Yankee fans — posted back-to-back miserable campaigns. It is safe to say that few in the Bronx will be sad to see him pitch in another uniform.

For those scratching their heads wondering why the Pirates brass were interested in A. J., two recent analyses from Fangraphs are worth a look.
