Jeter’s Back on the Disabled List

Lost in the PED/A-Rod mayhem is the question whether Derek Jeter’s career is on the ropes. To make room for Alex Rodriguez, the Yankees have placed the 39-year-old shortstop on the 15-day disabled list for the third time in 2013.

On the season, which Jeter has labeled a “nightmare,” the Yankee captain has managed a mere 21 plate appearances, collecting three hits, including one home run. He played shortstop on Friday in San Diego but strained his right calf muscle.
