Green-On-Blue: NATO Halts Joint Operations with Afghan Troops

Via CNN:
NATO troops in Afghanistan have been ordered to halt some joint operations with Afghan security forces after a spate of attacks by their local allies and amid fallout from a controversial anti-Islam video. “In response to an increased threat situation as a result of the ‘Innocence of Muslims’ video, plus the recent insider attacks, ISAF forces are increasing their vigilance and carefully reviewing all activities and interactions with the local population,” Maj. Lori Hodge, a spokeswoman for NATO’s International Security Assistance Force, said Tuesday. . .

One: don't blame the video. This has been a problem for MONTHS. Two: why did it take them so long to order this? And three: if we're not able to go on joint patrols with our allies, then the whole point of us being there is kinda moot and we should just leave. - Greg Pollowitz
