You know, I love National Review Online. Mostly because they’ll post my articles, which I also love. But putting that aside …

Just look at the cast of authors and editors and analysts who grace this website. Rich Lowry, Kate O’Beirne, Michael Ledeen, Victor Davis Hanson, John Derbyshire, Byron York. I’ve never seen a more creative use of vowels by any group of people.

NRO features my friend Jonah Goldberg, who’s always fighting with his imaginary e-mail friends and running off to CNN for some interview. Ramesh Ponnuru, who has spanked more liberals than Bill Clinton has dated interns. And my beloved Kathryn Lopez, who oversees the goings-on at this cyberspace think-tank as the benevolent warden.

In all seriousness, NRO is the conservative movement’s guide star. This is where we come to debate, lecture and understand. And this is where non-conservatives come to observe, take notes and, in some cases, learn. There’s really nothing like NRO, and its importance to our movement. And the influence it projects into the mainstream media cannot be overstated. NRO postings are quoted and cited in media outlets throughout the nation, including on talk radio, the pages of prominent liberal newspapers, and on television.

NRO provides an enormous service to all those who cherish liberty and limited government and believe, as I do, that effectively spreading our conservative message is crucial to the survival of our nation–the Constitution, the rule of law, our values and our culture. And at times like this, when we confront challenges at home and abroad like never before in our history, NRO plays an imperative role in helping to form our future.

I am truly honored to be associated with such an outstanding organization and group of people.

NRO exists only through donations or subscriptions to National Review magazine. And so, I urge you to go to NationalReview.com, and to donate or subscribe to NR–or do both, for that matter–so we’ll all continue to receive NRO’s infinite benefits.
