LARRY KING: “Tonight! A Where-Have-They-Been hour! We’ll be catching up with some superstars from yesteryear! Plus, your calls! Our first guest is a name that might have you scratching your heads, one of those “Isn’t he dead?” sort of situations, except in this case, he’s not! Daniel Ortega, welcome to the show.”
DANIEL ORTEGA: “Gracias, Señor Larry.”
LARRY KING: “For the youngsters out there–and for the oldsters like me who have trouble keeping things straight–let us know, again, who you are and what Daniel Ortega was all about.”
DANIEL ORTEGA: “Well, first, Señor Larry, let me just say that I’m enormously grateful for this chance to appear again on your show.”
LARRY KING: “Refresh my memory. You were here . . . ? When?”
DANIEL ORTEGA: “Back in the Eighties.”
LARRY KING: “Narrow ties. J. R. Ewing. Soviet Union. Junk bonds. Step aerobics. Got it.”
DANIEL ORTEGA: “I was the revolutionary leader of Nicaragua. President Reagan wanted me dead. Your government sponsored an insurgent army to topple me. Any of this ringing a bell?”
LARRY KING: “Help me out with Nicaragua.”…
