Not Taking His Own Advice

If the closing words of a campaign ad are, “But in the end, it’s about your life, and not mine,” one might assume that the candidate spent the last 30 seconds talking about how he can fight the establishment and improve lives by lowering unemployment or fixing health care.

Not so with Kendrick Meek’s latest advertisement. We learn that he was a state trooper, that he fought against social security privatization, and that he “always had a lot of hair.” But, he assures us, it’s not about him. Puzzling.
