One of the Jobs Lost Under Ted Strickland’s Watch: Lebron James’s

In case you missed it, one of the attacks recently put forward by the Strickland campaign against Ohio Republican gubernatorial hopeful John Kasich was the allegation that Kasich wanted star basketball player Lebron James to leave Ohio.

In fact, for a while, the website ohioansagainstlebron.com redirected to Strickland’s attack website against Kasich. But as sports fans know, one of the factors that drove Lebron James to move to Florida was its lack of an income tax. So what exactly did Strickland do to keep him in the state?

The answer: Sing about it. Near the end of this video of an interview with John Kasich on the Lebron subject (in which Kasich doesn’t exactly come out for Lebron leaving, you’ll note), you can see Strickland and other politicians singing a parody of “We are the World” entitled “Please stay Lebron.”

The rest of the song has been removed from the internet, but this little piece might show just how serious Strickland is about keeping jobs in Ohio. Glee is supposed to take place in this state, after all:
