Romney Endorses Buck, Other Colorado Candidates

Mitt Romney endorsed Republican challengers in Colorado’s U.S. Senate race and three competitive congressional districts once held by the GOP earlier in the decade:

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) is endorsing and making contributions to nine new Republican candidates in Colorado, Washington and Wyoming. In Colorado, Romney is endorsing Senate nominee Ken Buck, House nominees Ryan Frazier (7th district), Cory Gardner (4th) and Scott Tipton (3rd), state Attorney General nominee John Suthers and state Treasurer nominee Walker Stapleton.

Romney won the 2008 Presidential caucus in Colorado with around 60 percent of the vote. Romney performed particularly well in the Rocky Mountain West in 2008, and these endorsements could go a long way in paving party support in the same area in a potential 2012 presidential run should the majority of these candidates (in Colorado at least) win their own elections this cycle.
