Michael Bloomberg was in Philadephia yesterday to endorse Democrat Joe Sestak in the Senate race against Pat Toomey. In his four-minute endorsement speech, Bloomberg praised Sestak as an independent-minded leader.
“It is not partisanship that matters, it is leadership,” said Bloomberg, “and Joe has the courage of his convictions and have proven he is willing to stand up for what he believes, even if it means disagreeing with members of his own party.”
Yes, strident three-percent independence from party leadership. Who is Bloomberg kidding?
