Angry with Herself

This season’s crop of campaign commercials features a bizarre sort of bandwagon approach.

“People in this district are mad, and I’m mad, too,” says Democratic incumbent Suzanne Kosmas in her latest ad. Kosmas’s congressional seat in Florida’s space coast — the 24th district — is widely considered to be a possible GOP pickup come November, so it’s understandable that she would want to channel voter rage.

But electoral anger doesn’t spray diffusely in no particular direction — it’s actually aimed at the politicians who passed the stimulus, cap-and-trade, and health care reform — Kosmas among them.

Which leads to an interesting question: If Kosmas is mad, just like voters in her district, is she angry with herself?
