Matt Parker, campaign spokesman for Rich Iott of OH-9, spoke to Battle ‘10 about the recent ads being run by Marcy Kaptur, incumbent Democrat and liberal darling.
“The ad distorts the truth about Rich Iott,” Parker said. “After 28 years, Kaptur is spending her first ad on a blistering attack on a political neophyte. She doesn’t have a message…If you’re a 28 year incumbent, and you’ve got a sizable lead, then your first ad’s not going to be a blistering attack on your opponent.”
Parker suggested that despite Kaptur’s deep-blue district, her politics were too far to the left even for them in this election year. “She’s closer to Dennis Kucinich,” Parker said.
