Pat Toomey picked up another endorsement today, this time from the former Mayor of Harrisburg, Democrat Stephen Reed. In a statement, Reed said “I believe Pat’s emphasis on policies that will cut taxes, ease the regulatory burden on Pennsylvania businesses and workers, and encourage entrepreneurship will help our state and country achieve the economic recovery our citizens deserve.”

Jim Cawley, running as Tom Corbett’s lieutenant governor, has violated the cardinal rule of lieutenant governor candidates: he’s making headlines. Luckily for Cawley, it’s harmless. He appears in a video re-iterating a campaign by supporting right-to-work legislation.

Chris Carney, facing bootstrap challenger Tom Marino in the 10th district in eastern Pennsylvania, is leading according to the latest (though internal) poll, released by Carney’s campaign. Polling here has been up and down, but with Sarah Palin endorsing Marino through her PAC, this remains a race to watch.

Joe Sestak declined to appear on statewide cable tonight with Pat Toomey. The two were supposed to debate (with Ted Koppel as moderator) in an event sponsored by the PA Chamber of Business and Industry. Instead, it turned into a one-man advocacy hour for Toomey. More on this tomorrow.
