Keystone Tuesday Afternoon Update

  • Tom Corbett, dominating Democrat Dan Onorato in the polls by 15 points, also reported more than double the amount of campaign cash on hand today. Corbett has $7.7 million in his war chest after the latest filing deadline, while Onorato has only $3.36 million.

  • Pat Toomey raised some $50,000 online yesterday in response to Joe Sestak’s fundraising dinner with President Obama. The Obama event raised more than $500,000.

  • Massachusetts freshman Sen. Scott Brown will be in Philadelphia on Friday to headline a fundraiser for Pat Toomey.

  • Joe Sestak is skipping his first scheduled debate with Pat Toomey, which was set for Monday, Sept. 27. No word on when a new debate might be, other than that Sestak cited a scheduling conflict as his reason for dropping out.

  • Dan Onorato joked about his pronunciation-guide style TV ad on Fox Philadelphia today, saying the ad is working. This, despite cratering poll numbers and an opponent with a consistent 10 to 15 point lead. (Flashback: Domo Arigato, Mr. On-o-ra-to)
