Even if a large contingent of moderate Democrats want the Bush tax cuts extended in their entirety, Mary Jo Kilroy of OH-15 is not backing down, darnit. She will ensure that the wealth is spread until there’s none being created:
Count Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy among House Democrats who remain adamant about extending the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts for the middle class but allowing them to expire for households making $250,000 and up.
The Columbus Democrat held a conference call, along with ProgressOhio, with reporters today to say that she stands with President Barack Obama on the issue and against talk of a compromise that would extend the tax cuts for wealthier Americans at least by a year or two.
Kilroy also said she and two other lawmakers are circulating a letter to that effect to other House members that she intends to send to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Cal.
