Rory Says ‘Maybe’ to Taxes at Rally with Clinton

The Democratic candidate for governor who has sometimes boasted that he does not sound like a Democrat today sounded, well, like a Democrat.

For months Rory Reid has been saying that now is not the time to raise taxes and that cutting and consolidating is the answer to Nevada’s budget problems.

But at a rally headlined by Bill Clinton this morning, as reported by journalists Jon Humbert and Steve Sebelius via Live Tweet a few moments ago, Rory Reid said he would “look at” and possibly sign a bill for taxes even though he won’t propose one.

This is the first time in the race Reid has acknowledged that he might go along with new or increased taxes in some form.
