The Times Leader of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, has released the results of a poll the paper conducted through a firm called Critical Insights that paints a much different picture of the key Pennsylvania races than recent Rasmussen numbers.
According to Critical Insights, Pat Toomey leads Democrat Joe Sestak 40-36, a tight four point lead compared to Rasmussen’s latest that has Toomey up by eight.
In the governor’s race, meanwhile, Tom Corbett bests Democrat Dan Onorato by only one point, 38-37 percent.
The polls’ margin of error is +/- four.
The poll also found that unemployment is the biggest concern among voters in Pennsylvania.
Critical Insights is a market research firm headquartered in Portland, Maine. Their numbers for Pennsylvania stand in stark contrast to the Real Clear Politics average that has Toomey leading by nine.
