Last week at a meeting with the Colorado GOP executive committee, gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes promised a “little surprise” would be announced as early as Thursday.
As of late Thursday, there was no news on the “surprise” front–and Maes hedged on whether it might even happen.
But this weekend, a local College Republican email sets a new “surprise” deadline for today, Monday:
Monday: the Dan Maes for governor campaign expects media to be camped out at their office throughout the day on Monday for a news event. Their new campaign manager is looking for volunteers to have as many people in the office Monday. It is a neat chance to be on the evening news.
One imagines this is a high-profile endorsement–and potentially a personal appearance by that endorser.
