Angle, Reid Tied in Cash on Hand

Early last week Sharron Angle’s campaign announced she raised a stunning $14.4 million in the most recent quarter. Financial totals released Friday showed she spent about $12 million in the same period, $4 million of which her campaign said went to fundraising fees and expenses. Angle’s cash on hand was $4 million as of the end of September.

On Friday, the Harry Reid campaign revealed it raised about $2 million last quarter and also had about $4 million on hand. Reid spent $7.7 million over the last period.

This is the second consecutive quarter that Angle has raised more money than Reid.

Angle’s robust financials are notable in light of the fact that at one point during the primary, her campaign was about $40,000 in debt.

To date, Reid has raised $22 million for the campaign, while Angle has raised nearly $18 million.
