New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) came to Milwaukee today to campaign on behalf of Scott Walker in the state’s gubernatorial race, one day after Delaware Gov. Jack Markell (D) — chairman of the Democratic Governor’s Association — was in town stumping for Democrat Tom Barrett.
Vice President Joe Biden will host a breakfast fundraiser for Barrett in Madison on Wednesday.
Walker has already attracted a slew of prominent Republicans to the state on his behalf, including Mitt Romney, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, and now Gov. Christie.
Polling continues to show the race is a dead heat. A recent Fox News poll show Walker leading 49 to 45 percent.
