Connecticut Morning Roundup

The news from Connecticut has become so unwieldy lately that I’ve decided to follow my colleagues’ example.

Senatorial Race

  • The Philadelphia Inquirer reveals the identity of World Wrestling Entertainment’s former lobbyist: Rick Santorum.

  • The Connecticut Democratic Party calls for WWE to pull its “Stand Up for WWE” ad, which curiously includes a shot of Linda McMahon.

  • Dick Blumenthal blows off political speed dating in Manchester, Conn. (my hometown). McMahon shows — and promptly skedaddles.

  • Frank Luntz holds a focus group in Stamford, Conn. and finds the room full of fire-breathing McMahon supporters.

Congressional Races

  • Rep. Chris Murphy condemns the “shadowy” American Action Network on The Real Story.

  • The Hartford Courant endorses Rep. Jim Himes over his Republican challenger, Dan Debicella.

  • MyLeftNutmeg is miffed that Debicella is using its footage of Himes.

  • Chris Cillizza calls President Obama’s decision to appear in Bridgeport, Conn. on October 30 “a bit odd.”
