Exclusive: Club for Growth Talks Toomey

The Club for Growth, the strident free-market, limited-government advocacy group that’s pumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into Pennsylvania’s Senate contest, spoke with Battle ‘10 about the choice voters will make on Nov. 2 and about their campaign against Congressman Joe Sestak.

“So far we think they’ve been very successful and right on message in exposing Congressman Sestak’s true record,” communications director Mike Connolly told Battle ‘10. “Everything that you need to know about both Pat Toomey and Joe Sestak [is] in the public record.”

“By looking at their principles, their ideas, and their records, you can make a very informed decision about this race and where you want the country to head,” said Connolly.

And that will be a future, Connolly said, between “limited government and economic liberty” and a “command and control” future.

The Club, which Toomey himself led for a time, has a new ad today criticizing Joe Sestak’s stimulus vote.
