Fiorina Defends her Hewlett-Packard Tenure

Carly Fiorina’s campaign has released a new video defending her tenure at Hewlett-Packard. Board members and employees testify about her leadership and vision in the film, which also briefly gives a defense of her decision to lay off 30,000 workers. That decision has been used by Sen. Barbara Boxer in campaign ads to suggest that Fiorina isn’t genuinely interested in creating jobs. “What would’ve Barbara Boxer have done?” asks Vince Blecha, a former HP process supervisor. “Would she just raise product prices so we can cut even more jobs? She [Fiorina] had to adhere to a budget. She couldn’t spend her way out of problems.”
