Fiorina Endorsed by Hispanic Business Roundtable

Republican senate candidate Carly Fiorina was endorsed by the National Hispanic Business Roundtable yesterday.

“Latinos across California and across the nation are struggling in the face of joblessness caused by higher taxes and burdensome regulations that make it harder for business owners to succeed and hire workers,” said National Hispanic Business Roundtable president Hector Barreto. “It’s clear Barbara Boxer has done little to reverse this trend, and that’s why we are joining the effort to retire her on Election Day.”

“Our priority is to ensure that our community’s entrepreneurs and business owners have the opportunity to expand, buy new equipment and hire more workers  –  the very things our economy needs in order to recover from this recession,” Barreto added. “Carly Fiorina shares our focus on fostering long-term job creation and economic growth, and that’s why she has our support.”

Both Fiorina and Sen. Barbara Boxer have been working hard to gain support from California’s Hispanics, who constitute about 20 percent of the electorate. Boxer recently launched a Spanish-language ad, while the Susan B. Anthony List and the National Organization for marriage aired a Spanish-language ad touting Fiorina’s social conservative values recently.
