13 Days Until the Election
Pat Quinn has the support of lawyers everywhere. This might explain his constant and slimy attacks, but it probably won’t do him much good come election day. Bill Brady, however, is at least trying to be bipartisan. And has apparently reneged on his belief that it’s alright if somehow, somewhere, a pet might maybe be subject to euthanasia.
Everybody and their brother wants to analyze the Illinois Senate Race, especially after last night’s highly heated debate. Mark Kirk is still in trouble for embellishing his record, whereas Giannoulias appears to be immune to irony in his attacks on business. Oh, and Giannoulias wants to know if Mark Kirk has been shot at. That can’t bode well for Kirk – I hear Broadway Bank knows a guy, you know what I’m saying?
Phil Hare of IL-17 is down 7 according to recent polls. This isn’t surprising, as there are at least six reasons not to vote for him. But according to Hare, you should ignore all of that because he cares about the children!
And over in IL-10, Mark Kirk’s old district, both candidates are playing to the center. So far, Republican Robert Dold is winning the money race, and they both appear to be winning in the polls at the same time. Prognosticators are advised to avoid this race.
