The latest Pennsylvania poll, released this afternoon and conducted by Muhlenberg and the Allentown Morning Call, is consistent with nearly every other poll in the senate and gubernatorial races.
Among likely Pennsylvania voters, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Pat Toomey leads by 7 percentage points, 45 percent to 38 percent, over Democrat Joe Sestak. GOP gubernatorial nominee Tom Corbettleads by 11 percentage points, 47 percent to 36 percent, over his Democratic opponent, Dan Onorato.

Of those surveyed, 52 percent disapproved of President Barack Obama’s job performance and 56 percent disapproved of Gov. Ed Rendell. Of note, 46 percent of respondents voted for Obama in the 2008 presidential election.
Those final two points, on the unpopularity of the president and governor, speak to the structural wall that both Joe Sestak and Dan Onorato have hit in their attempts to make their races competitive.
