Nevada GOP Extends Early Voting Turnout Lead

The Democrats still lead in the raw early voting numbers in Clark County, but the GOP is extending its lead in turning out a higher percentage of its voters. Republicans are also turning out at a slightly higher rate in Washoe County.

In Clark County on Monday, the third day of early voting in Nevada, 7,755 Democrats turned out compared to 6,721 Republicans. That brings the cumulative totals to 21,678 Democrats, 18,037 Republicans, and 7,084 independents who have so far voted.

Relative to registration totals, this reflects a 6.5 percent early voting turnout for Democrats and a 7.4 percent turnout for Republicans.

In absentee ballots, the Democrats are leading, 5,075-4,036, which puts the Clark County Democrats at a cumulative total turnout of eight percent with Republicans are at a 9.2 percent turnout.

In Washoe County, 31,103 Democrats (7.4 percent) and 27,55 Republicans (8.3 percent) have so far voted.
