Nevada News Blurbs

Senate

  • This is rich. The Harry Reid campaign criticizes Sharron Angle for “influence-peddling.” But doesn’t Reid’s argument for staying in office center on the fact that he is the most powerful, influential politician Nevada has ever had?

  • A new FOX poll shows Angle up over Reid, 49-46, but at least some of the crosstabs are questionable. Getting the likely demographics right is key to good polling.

  • Angle visited Laughlin, NV, to talk issues this week. Here’s a pic.

  • The NRSC is having a big $5,000 per head fundraiser today. The event is hosted by Cornyn (TX) and Thune (SD) who will be collecting cash for Ayotte (NH), Boozman (AR), Coats (IN), Rossi (WA), Rubio (FL), and Angle (NV).

  • Jonathan Martin writes about the unprecedented shielding of candidates from the press, including gaffe-prone Reid and Angle.

House

  • This is one endorsement Republican NV-3 candidate Joe Heck could probably live without.

  • Heck will debate incumbent Dina Titus three times next week. Battle ‘10 will be there.

  • Titus made an appearance at numerous Las Vegas events this past weekend.

Gov

  • The Rory Reid campaign is calling out Republican Brian Sandoval for having released no budget plan with less than two weeks until early voting begins. Sandoval did repeatedly promise to release a plan to address the state’s budget issues earlier in the campaign season.

  • Team Reid is also out with a web ad on the issue:
