New Spanish-Language Fiorina Ad

A new Spanish-language ad supporting California senate candidate Carly Fiorina was launched today by the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List and the National Organization for Marriage, which supports traditional marriage.

Asserting that Barbara Boxer “doesn’t share our values,” the ad’s narrator notes that Boxer “supports abortion and homosexual marriage, and voted against immigration reform to permit our people to come here legally to work.”

“The majority of Latinos are pro-life and comprise an increasing percentage of the California voting bloc.  Latino voters need to know who will stand up for their values in the U.S. Senate and Carly Fiorina is that leader,” said SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser in a statement, adding that, “There could be no greater contrast between Carly Fiorina’s commitment to protect Life and Barbara Boxer’s continual imposition of a pro-abortion agenda on her constituents.  This joint effort will help Latino voters know who really shares their values.”

NOM president Brian Brown echoed her sentiments, saying in a statement that “California’s Latino population is socially conservative and supports the family values of Life, marriage and work.  They voted strongly in favor of Proposition 8 and they are pro-life.  Barbara Boxer does not share these values. She is a knee-jerk, strident partisan who ignores the values of her constituents in order to practice bitterly divisive politics.”

The groups are spending $200,000 to air the ads in the Los Angeles, San Diego, and Fresno markets for a week starting Thursday.
