NRCC: ‘Mark Critz Quit On Pennsylvania’

The NRCC, as part of a rollout of 27 new ads in the final week before Election Day, is hitting Mark Critz in western Pennsylvania’s 12th district. This was John Murtha’s territory until his death earlier this year, and Critz took over in a special election almost as a right of passage.

Tim Burns, the Republican challenger, generally trails in what Real Clear Politics labels a toss-up race, though Burns will need serious momentum to topple Critz in this part of Pennsylvania.

That the NRCC is investing in Burns despite other close races shows how bullish the group has become in these final days, and how large a wave it’s expecting to see — or hopes to generate — on Nov. 2.
