Palin Urges Support for Miller

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin sent out a fundraising letter in support of GOP senate candidate Joe Miller today.

“Conservatives need to rally around Joe Miller,” wrote Palin. “He is the only true conservative in this race.  While Lisa Murkowski and her special interests have nothing to lose in this race, Alaskans and conservatives across the country have everything to lose.”

“Public service should be an honor, not a family dynasty,” Palin added, a reference to Sen. Lisa Murkowski being appointed to her senate seat by her father, former governor Frank Murkowski, although she won re-election in 2004.

In early October, there were rumors of a rift between the Miller campaign and the Palins, after leaked e-mails showed that Todd Palin was upset Miller had refused to say Sarah Palin was presidential material. After the e-mail leak, Todd Palin denied that there was any rift, and said that he had originally heard an erroneous account of what Miller had said.
