Pre-debate Statement from the Sharron Angle Campaign

Game Day

from the desk of Jarrod Agen, Communications Director, Sharron Angle for Senate 2010

Tonight, just before 6 p.m. in Las Vegas, a grandmother from Reno will step to her podium to face off with the second most powerful man in Washington D.C.

The debate between Sharron Angle and Harry Reid captures the contrast that is playing out from small congressional districts to big statewide races all over this nation.  It is the common man or woman challenging the Washington establishment and the status quo which has lead this nation into economic turmoil.

Reid enters as the Majority Leader, well-practiced in debates over his decades in office, while Sharron’s frank and honest style with her words is far different from what you’d find in a career politician.  But it is that honest style which has fueled grassroots support seldom seen in modern political campaigns.

Tonight, Sharron takes the stage as a voice for the frustrated of Nevada. Those frustrated with the direction of Washington and frustrated by the failure of Harry Reid.

She speaks for the jobless in Las Vegas, the struggling families in Ely, the worried mothers in Elko, and she speaks for the grandmothers in Reno who have had enough of Harry Reid.

With Sharron Angle as their voice, tonight is the first time that all of Nevada gets to tell Harry Reid to his face that he has failed them.
